Orders and Shipping

Once we receive your order, we begin producing the background. Smaller backgrounds are typically ready within 3-5 working days. Larger backgrounds, corner backgrounds, and those with weir covers usually take about 2 weeks to produce.

Some popular sizes are kept in stock and can be dispatched within 3 days

You don’t need to create an account to place an order with Aqua Maniac. However, if you’d like to create an account, you can do so during the checkout process.

When you reach the checkout page, you’ll see an option to “Create an Account” by simply entering a password along with your order details. This will allow you to track your order and save your information for future purchases.

If you need to change the shipping address after placing your order, please contact us as soon as possible via email at info@aqua-maniac.com. Be sure to include your order ID, your name, and the correct delivery address. We’ll confirm once the address has been updated.

After placing your order, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a unique tracking link where you can monitor the progress of your order. You can view the different stages of your order directly on our website. Once your order is dispatched, we’ll also send you a text message with the tracking link and a confirmation email.

We don’t store or process credit card payments directly. Instead, we use trusted payment processors like Stripe, PayPal, Google Pay, and Apple Pay to handle transactions. These payment systems use advanced encryption and security protocols to ensure your card details are kept safe and secure throughout the process.

Yes, we do charge VAT on every order. As a UK-registered company, we apply the standard 20% VAT rate to all sales. The prices displayed on our website already include this 20% VAT.

Once your order has been dispatched, we will email you a VAT invoice for your records, which will show the total amount including VAT.

To avoid returns we suggest you ask about any product you are unsure of before you order by emailing us at info@aqua-maniac.com

We hope that our products are your choice in keeping happy fish. But if for any reason you are unsatisfied with a product, please let us know. All products we sold on www.aqua-maniac.com carry a 14-day Money Back Satisfaction Guarantee. We’ll give you a refund for the full amount you paid minus a 15% restocking fee. Please make sure the products are in their original condition and packaging with all contents included, and send them back within 30 days of your purchase. Return shipping to us is at your own expense. All return must accompanied by a RMA.

If you receive an incorrect background, please follow these steps to initiate a return:

1. Take a clear photo of the background you received.
2. Include your order ID and full name in the message.
3. Send the photo and details to us.

Once we receive the information, we’ll arrange for a replacement background and provide you with a prepaid return label for the incorrect item.

If your 3D background arrives damaged, please send us a photo of the damage along with your order ID and name. If the damage is minor, we can offer a partial refund if you choose to keep the background. For more significant damage, we will arrange to send you a replacement background at no extra cost.

Once an order has been dispatched, it can no longer be canceled or refused. If you refuse an order, a 15% restocking fee plus the return shipping costs will apply. We also can’t accept cancellations due to delays in shipping or order processing.

For custom-made or “made to order” backgrounds, cancellations are only possible within 48 hours of placing your order. After that, a cancellation fee of £50 per “made to order” background will apply.

Basic Installation Steps

  1. Rinse the background to remove dust
  2. Partially drain tank to prevent spillage
  3. Slide background into position
  4. Level using gravel or stones
  5. Ensure water level stays below background edge
  6. Unfold side mesh

Equipment Setup

  • Hide heaters and pipes behind background
  • Use additional powerhead/small internal filter near heater, if the heater is located behind the 3d background to ensure proper warm water circulation

Customisation Options – How can I trim the background

  • Adjust size using jigsaw or angle grinder, if needed
  • Drill holes for pipes and equipment
  • Custom fitting for specific tank dimensions

Is the 3d Background flexible?

No, our 3D backgrounds are not flexible. The backing is rigid and you can’t bend it, as it’s made from polyresin.

I have aquarium with support braces, how do I install 3d background?

We can provide your background in multiple sections. Each section can be slid into the tank separately, and then joined together inside the tank. While the joint will be visible due to the straight-line cut, you can easily cover it with plants or other decorations. Alternatively, using clear silicone in the gap can help make the joint less noticeable.
